Shipping Policies

Orders will be processed within 24 hours. Orders received after 1PM on Friday will ship on Monday. Please contact the Book Mark for all orders outside of the USA. If you need rush shipping, please contact us after placing your order so we can adjust your shipping charge and ship out your package using the preferred shipping speed provided.

The Book Mark doesn't typically ship out textbooks. If you choose a shipping option at checkout, we will assume you did this unintentionally and switch it to Pick up at Book Mark and remove the shipping charge. If you do actually need your books shipped, please note in the comment field at checkout that you need these books shipped and we will leave your order as is. Textbook shipping prices are subject to the weight of the package and will be charged accordingly at the time your order is shipped.

Product Returns

The Book Mark is happy to accept returns or exchanges on general merchandise within 90 days of purchase. Refunds without receipt are subject to a 20% discount. For more information on returns, please visit our Full Return Policy.

Textbooks are only returnable through the first three days of classes unless you have dropped the class. If you have dropped a class, bring your receipt, your new class schedule and your books to the Book Mark within the first 2 weeks of class (drop/add period) for a full refund. No textbook returns will be accepted after the drop/add period. For J-Term, the drop/add period is the first 3 days of class only. All return period dates are printed on the bottom of your receipt.

New books must be in sellable condition to be returned for full refund. If a new text has been marked or has bent corners, it will be refunded at 75% of new price. Books polywrapped and/or with software or codes must remain sealed or your return cannot be accepted.

Textbook Rental Returns

Rental returns are due back no later than the last day of finals each semester. If you are on campus, returns can be brought to the store during business hours, or dropped in our collection bin outside of the store after hours. If you are off campus, your return must be placed in the mail and postmarked no later than the last day of finals for the current semester. Any returns postmarked after this date will be subject to the rental buyout and non-return fees as noted on your original rental agreement.
